Yes, Apple has their customer coffers well controlled, and don't seem to introduce products unless that kind of control will exist going forward. But so do other mega-tech corporations, they too can nickel and dime customers to death with software gotchas, and possibly do that with many surprises and irregularities which can really piss customers off big time, Apple customers get their products and later finally catch on to Apple hardware-software gotchas. I mean it slowly sneaks up on users over time. Yeah, getting stuck in the Apple ecosystem is a potential worrisome thing. In the end it really depends on what the customer wants to do with their tech, Apple just seems to read that thinking better than others.
