Yepper. Here comes the whole Techno-panic-hay-ride wagon, and riding along are the politicians wondering just how this ride is going to end since many big tech companies are great contributors to political campaigns, plus politicians basically know somewhere next to minus zero regarding tech anything, let alone how to create regulation or legislation for this industry. Hmmmmm, some conundrum. Even legacy journalism interests think this mythos has traction, little do they know that statisticians have schooled politicians and their consultants (political aids are like brain extensions no one ever hears about, they are necessary else one might end up with a president like the current one) that legacy journalism’s days are now numbered more than ever. This techno-panic story isn’t just pushed by facts it’s also the jury-rigged pennies per clickbait that keeps the story momentum minimally going, and maybe a slow Newsday or so.
I’d go on but I’ve got to get back to running my life online with banking, medicine, shopping, and yes when timely, socializing, Holy Fuck, I absolutely depend on the fucking internet, so now people think it needs fixing? Is that kitty cat not out of the bag? Just deal you pretenders, all of you that live on the net, and love it, and methinks depend on it.
