Yeah, the big bucks reporting does begin to sound like fingernails on a blackboard.

Trivia: Don't know why my chrome browser showed this piece in a kind of dark mode, I'll just assume it was supposed to render that way. Anyway, I threw it in safari and clicked the 'show reader' in a menu there and got back to black on white backdrop. End trivia.

Interesting writers I happen to follow on Medium are like schools of fishes. They group together by pub or various tag groupies. If my profile happens to intersect with a groupie or batch of tags I may start following those writers or pubs. (here a pub is a kind of like a groupie) Then it's a little like playing craps when I get the daily suggested reads email from Medium central. With repetitious selections by me, over a short time, those I follow tend to show up in that Medium email that we readers get daily. (Else I just go to the general Medium.com page when in my profile, and fish out what and whom I'm looking for)

I'm not a writer but yeah, since the self-help groups are so huge on Medium they may be the biggest pile of writers on Medium. Self-help-startup stories probably reflect a big subset of Medium writers, so too, most of the annoying stuff will probably show up there.
