Whenever post pandemic days arrive there will no doubt be a workforce segment that prefers a home office over legacy office offices.
Transportation, productivity, and other conveniences could be sought after work bennies, even a reason to switch jobs. Some workers from all over the work-productivity spectrum consider going to some destination day in and out a total annoyance, that is they enjoy their own abode as a substantially improved enjoyable cubicle.
Unless there is a physical on-site reason (as in hands on is necessary for production) toward attending a work location, cyberspace is probably cheaper with less friction, including social friction, than allocating physical space. Therefore for a substantial segment of the workforce in an information economy, this pandemic has been instructive.
Wouldn't want to be in commercial office real estate business after pandemic days.
