Up the road a piece in Madison, Wi. cloistered away in a burb in town, and on a seasonable night we can turn off the A/C open the windows, and listen to the late evening breezes float in while cringing at the occasional random gunshot noises that seem to be a neighborhood feature of the last 3–4 years or so. Something to do with the economy and Mericka in general. Of course about 2 weeks on either side of the 4th, the neighborhood noises can get very tricky. 🧨 or was that something else?

We survived the last year and a half okay, some haven’t survived as well in the mental department. (lucky me, I’m already nuts, so, it’s a wash :-)) The next challenge is really hoping (only) that the next delta variant can be beaten with a variant vaccine before we dig ourselves yet another massive hole.

Yeah, I’m sure the Elgin area is more fundamental than Madison, here we have time to worry about incredible minutia that’s adding to the city’s budget-busting ways, and yeah, I really don’t think that happens in Elgin, period. Telling you Sherry the downside here is property taxes, galore, there is really only one way out of our mess up here in magic Madison land, I’m absolutely sure that we will be ripped a new hole come tax time at the end of this year, like the last 2 years previously, or get ready for a city-county hat trick coming our way. (It’s like they got us by the short hairs, and they know it) If I had to guess, it’s going to be something about… “ah, due to covid-19 we need to fix a one-time budget-buster fix, thank you”. One time my newly ripped backside!

Hey, nice ranting along with you Sherry, you have toll roads, how long can it be before commuters from surrounding disaster areas, (okay, Dane county isn’t that bad off compared to most counties in Wi.), until we see a toll gate to get into this city-county? :-) Hey just like your ipass on the interstate roads, can future craziness be far off for us Wisconsin hicks?

I could drizzle on but hey everything's starting to come up negatory.
