Still depends on the individual worker. Maybe a remote worker enjoys life outside of repetitive attendance. Where classic productivity vs remote productivity equation can be a wash or a big offset either way. Obviously many service jobs require attendance to work.
If employers don't see remote work as real in any circumstances then they are merely married to some classic genre, that is, a work attendance location only conception. Fine, maybe that works, or maybe not. Considering how many others may opt for remote or some combo of flex-time, may help an employer decide what kind of continuing business they want to engage in.
