So many mass media narratives are repetitive stories to the point of being nauseating. Usually feel good stuff like happy neighborhood parades about little nothings dug up out of some news filevault. I suppose designed to keep the lid on growing disenchantment with whatever reality the people are now facing. Especially in places that are accepted as open/conceal or carry states. Insane, but there it is.
