30+ years ago consumer medicine used to be relatively cheap. Nowadays it is literally an arm and a leg and priced well beyond the stratosphere. WTF happened?

One would think with all the A.I. soft bots in between today's writers and the e-presses, bypassing ALL the middle people, including lardy Bluto style editors and other archaic software there would be a ton of residual revenues laying around for distribution, but NOOOOOO, where did that frickin money go???
