Probably.
The 2022 midterms will be of interest to see if all these anti-voter efforts by the states stay in place or if the 3rd branch of our government upholds this electoral circus effort of discrimination. These efforts look exactly like political, racial, and class discrimination election laws. Ex: Not law yet, I think, but the current Florida governor is trying to create an election police force of sorts. Really? Whether that is an accurate characterization, I’m not sure, however, that is a reported trope by mainstream media regarding a Florida legislative proposal or bill.
I do not like the electoral college process and law, however, there is no area of electoral law that seems immune from being played or manipulated. Here is a short opinion piece from our local Dem opinion newspaper page. Yes, here in Wisconsin the GOP which controls the statehouse, and IMO a GOP stacked state supreme court we are still going on about non-existent voter fraud, either as reasoning for changes to future electoral law in the state or possibly a coverup for some serious electoral voter member shenanigans attempted by the GOP at the formation of electoral members time in late 2020. I think the cause of this editorial opinion piece was due to the ongoing investigation in D.C. regarding the Jan, 6th congressional inquiry possibly resulting in some real justice actions from discovery.
Well, I could probably go on endlessly about all this one-person-one-vote situation in the 50 states but my coffee is wearing off.
