Another bullet point for not ‘getting it’: Know when, in an organization, your partners in legitimate crime (the business side of anything) have already quietly benched you cause you’re just not that great at glad-handing and back-slapping.

Just relax, as long as the chief provost and their CFO committees are not replaced by some Capital Investment Firm, e.g. Bain Capital, just ease off the immediate urge to rush packing up your desk. Also if you are having recurring dreams involving entanglement with the likes of Booz Allen Hamilton, this could also be a sign to pack up your banker boxes!
