Anyone elected anywhere in that state and no doubt California pays (or gets paid?) to some extent, by the financial industry, yes that's is slightly over the top IMO, but who gets into office and stays there has a lot to do with the USA's financial industry. It's hard for us peons lost in the trees to see the forest.
