Maybe it's my hearing and understanding but with all the regional dialects in N.A. compared with fewer (?) different sounding groups in G. Britain, they still seem more skewed in what's left of Britain proper. It's like the N.A.s sound more homogenized to me. I have trouble understanding migrating Caribbean people in the states more so than any other N.A. dialect. It seems to me I could use a translator listening to various Brits.
