Many schools under college level have no A/C around the country. I think back in the day, depending on school funding methods, a so-called cost benefit analysis was shot through the administrative bean counter unit and A/C systems became an unrecommended budget item. Flash forward to Pandemics, climate change and suddenly more value is placed on comfortable and adequately filtered air control systems. Sure that would cost a bundle but maybe school systems could cut back on administrative visitations and redundant oversight that produces dubious results, that is they are top heavy over in Admin land, in my opinion!

Not that upgraded air systems are the only real problems in our public schools, no, there are more insidious problems for sure, but hey it's a start if we survive the current public confidence upheaval or whatever one wants to label our societies current malaize.
