Like most everything in the US everything is for sale.
Our blatant capitalism so far does not allow for universal health care. People need food, shelter and survival knowledge and for the uninsured they need health knowledge and care. Our taxes buy shit to keep this empire going, like tanks, drones, aircraft carriers, subs, etc, that's just on the military budget side of things. Most other western democracies have a national health service paid by their taxes and not a for-profit health care system like we do. Yes, correct we should be asking where our taxes are going and see that it is reallocated for a national health service.
The argument that a national health service is too costly is mostly bull shit, considering the cost we pay for health care in the US is higher than anywhere in the world per capita, hmm, wonder why that is? Where is all the wealth being applied? We may live in a great country but the ROI on taxes sucks in the US.
