So the security deposit is now defined more as a fee to abide in the shimmering palace that is your next abode, effectively never refundable. That is unless you happen to be independently wealthy with some attorneys on retainer and able to sue the crap out of anyone that gets your undies in a bunch. Yeah, then you get your security deposit back, even if the place burns down. ✅
