Outside the USA, views have changed. A Medium story read today relates 1990 contrasted with now. The total non-reality reality of the Trump years may have given rise to a changing view of America's over-polished glossy history narratives.

The BLMatter effort has turned thinking about our history, from colonial days to the present. Sure, a huge chunk of racists spawned/imprinted will not change until death. This gets people thinking about what else is our historical character. America needs a thorough renaissance to realize an educated plausible direction.

The family values lie surely is real and fostered by the beartrap of runaway capitalism embedded in our adopted fears.

Other than all this I'm not sure of where the American psyche numbers are at by the numbers.
