It’s possible Grammarly tried to get Ev W. to sign some biz to biz contract for the Medium platform and that never happened, when and if that does happen maybe stuff gets fixed faster.

By tolerating the free version of Grammarly I usually get a weekly stats shaming and upsell notice (blah blah *% off, last few days left to act), so annoying. If they weren’t gathering data, which probably helps to detect bugs, they probably would sunset the free version.
