I'm surprised to notice that in the last several years or more, fireworks start almost a month before the 4th and then go on for another 2-3 weeks after the 4th. The peak fireworks being the closest weekend to the 4th.

Worse, I'm not talking little bunches of poppers going off, the so-called (4th?) celebrating fireworks that are being used have to be expensive cause since most of them, a lot of them, are very loud and bright as a regular city or township commercial show would be. It's amazing how loud and numerous today's fireworks are. The stuff going off is not cheap by any measure. I wonder what is going on in the minds of these bang happy people? This drive to make noise, blast larger ordinance big bang fireworks, and close to their own kids, I guess the folks out here in suburbia are mostly Darwin award candidates.

I'm just saying this trend is not slowing down year after year, people seem to complain about everything and anything like pocketbook issues yet they can go out and drop hundreds of dollars on noise and light bombs for several weeks out of the year.

Somehow this is fulfilling?? I don't get it at all and haven't for years.
