I'm somewhat in agreement with, if you do not like something, don't deal with it.

I think many or all the examples of Amazon failings can and do happen in unknown numbers of online shopping events. But though errors happen still I get the impression Mr. Pitt's listings of errors could also be seen as cherry-picked for whatever reasons, possibly plain old frustration.

Though I'm a prime member (USA and not the EU) and also think prime has higher prices (at least the so-called listing price of the moment) I still like the service. I look at Prime as a kind of shopper insurance policy. (meaning the shopping experience can feel seamless) I don't know if people not on prime have more trouble or not shopping on Amazon.

Anyway, I check other shop sites and shop around so to speak, lately been checking up on Walmart as it tries to catch up with the new millennium. Sites like the Ebays of the world can be interesting but can also have all the trappings if not more than those mentioned by Mr. Pitt.

Amazon is big but not necessarily a hub for all evils imaginable regarding the online retail world.
