I guess Substack can support creators in a variety of ways that Medium, originating many years earlier, does not. Outside of writing and graphics usage Substack can also become a business platform for creators with a larger variety of products to pedal.

Of course, to rake in more income than having to join every e-business out there which is probably doable if there are 48+ hours in a day, there has to be some kind of viral attraction like those bigshot authors as mentioned elsewhere in this response section. Maybe, use Substack as a launching pad for other interests if any, like podcasting or other media creations. Substack's problems are what many new e-businesses problems are, they are already big with growing pains and still growing fast, many times due to the hype of the grass being greener over here. However Substack is a more versatile platform than Medium probably due to its age and time of creation, however with bigness comes maintenance. No business in our economy, hardly ever, is big on maintenance and other attributes such as service, to their subscribers or creators. Right, this is Mericka, it's all about the sales and double-digit profits, that's what these new and old businesses have always sought out, and sister that might be what undoes the whole shebang.
