I agree, if the economic exploitation has failed maybe that means on production profits vs. climate change avoidance. Sure, we all fail that issue everyday as to what we consume and do. Change has to happen much faster on climate so we don't all die in some dystopian trash heap of our own making. Our mass habits have to change in so many areas of life to survive.
But fail? I wasn't around say in the middle ages in the European area, though our history reporting is many times prettied up for modern consumption I think I'll take modern America with all it's exploitive banana republic and corporate colonialism over the aforementioned dark ages. Yes those exploitive practices by the haves, have to change and change fast, again for the same reasons before we all do ourselves in getting ours vs. exploited populations all around the globe as pointed out by Pixie in this thread somewhere. The have nots vastly outnumber the haves. And BTW they are armed with as good if not better mobile communications today.
