Exactly!
I married someone who had audible issues before we met, later used hearing aids. When younger they referred to these audible issues as d&d, after med science fixed her inner ear problem, she suddenly went on to stuff like honors, etc. Didn’t attend college much but somehow passed all the necessary exams and got a degree. (for her, I guess attendance was overrated) She also straightened out my understanding of math exponents while I was taking some college courses. Didn’t understand how that subject worked in her head but she fixed/taught me that back in the day. Kind of like she had her own Trachtenberg methods. Took many years until I got it through my much thicker skull that she was a ton smarter than anyone around. Duh. 🤔?
