‘Due to covid’. (gee I think I’ve heard that phrase before, hmm).

Some of my gen ‘xer kids are doing a transplant for work reasons for about 6 weeks. I thought, okay, not bad, until we did an online meet after they got out there, to Reno, Nv. I guess it’s easy to not notice that our 1st world situation has definitely slipped down a notch to at least 2nd world(?) what with so much infrastructure gone or missing in action. I thought, oh, the company put them up at a Staybridge, not a bad choice from my experience for extended stay plus some expense account stuff. Ahh, no, once again I like many in this nation are somehow not remembering the C-19 effects, at all. :-) Not really funny but it’s a little like getting into a strange new car without the engine, hey, looks great, just doesn’t go anywhere without a little DIY… :-)
