Classic 'in search of' tax/fee legislation revenue streams.

Several decades ago one of our local governmental units tried floating the lead balloon idea of taxing VHS rentals, back when VHS was hot.

I guess we elect public servant officials to go out into the public world and come up with various revenue streams to rip the public a new one.
