Blackouts have a way of waking people up or trying to avoid the same.

It seems that doubling down on fossil fuels due to greedy middle eastern oil nations, also regimes like Putin's willingness to do anything for power and empire (let’s skip Texas for now, it’s still a state, right?) is the wrong track for civilization to be on. We should be doubling down on alternatives to fossil fuel economies asap. But apparently, the big fossil fuel industry and their spinoff satellite businesses still are buying toady climate deniers, and for what, power and market nimbyism.
