Billionaire wannabees pool their ideas to solve problems that are other legacy problems but want to label them as uniquely innovative and revolutionary, e.g. internet 3.0. Wow, of course none of this passes the sniff test for originality or groundbreaking anything.
Rather it's a reflection of the other legacy problem, a changing economy. In practice this is indicative of many joining some kind of substack account, NFTs, and other magical medicine wagon stuff. Really this behavior tries to act out a now lost economy of yesteryear where pretty much anyone could find gainful employment in many places.
When our economic priorities change a lot of this pie in the sky internet marketing hype will fade, the sooner the better. But I'm not holding my breath.
