As far as writing ideas go I can only suggest simply follow local news outlets around the country especially for crazy content. From the breathlessly dramatic Harry & Megan reality show wannabees to less contemporary tall tale yarns about the US's mythos that we pump into our younger generations in some many dead end history curriculum units. There are so many examples of the local news being, well, loco. Recently some of the MAGA holdouts have shifted their war on the woke to speak out on subjects that sound a lot like 'Make conversion therapy great again'. If this kind of stuff gets legislated and some are trying, praise the lord, etc. that the next thing that needs to be done will be initiatives like, 'patriots for bringing back lobotomies'.
