As 2020 progresses, stay on guard for other classic political stories besides the C-19 story blitzkrieg. Such as stories that get cherry-picked for wider distribution depending on what point is being entertained. Crazy, possibly interesting stories are happening all the time, more importantly, it is to note what stories are picked up and pushed beyond all importance. So depending on the political pushing and shoving relatively minor even slow news day stories could get blown way out of proportion, or purposefully accelerated for a story trope that benefits one politic or another. The same behavior of pushing relatively minor news items can be used to drown out possibly more interesting news, therefore burying important news under a Tsunami of less important stories omitting other important news.

The cumulative effects can add up to steering and controlling the news cycles, mostly old school but effective. The tactic is to create rather inflated, even fake, and unimportant stories out of nowhere and push those stories with political action networks.
