April 1889, the start of the Okie land rush, yet another crazy side effect of national policies like 'manifest destiny' from the post colonial era. This probably help seed results when the 1930s drought and dust bowl got into full swing. I.E. made it worse.
I'm guessing native Americans, should their treaties been honored in the past, that the dust bowl in the south may have been mitigated some compared to the rest of the plains and Canada. But who knows. Now they can only claw back in the legal system.
Fun read.
