Apparently you missed the gag snippet in the comedy motion picture 'Space Balls' where president screw has a secret stash of canned air in his desk. (you could probably google that scene on Youtube)

Not so crazy though as the U.S. funds something(?) called 'space force'. BTW everytime you hear the term space force
