addendum: "four figure medical bills"

Maybe it's apples to oranges depending on currencies, but the quote above tells me much, without insurance over here in the states, it could easily be 5,6 and even 7 figure medical bills, yes. Of course if one really was poor, our welfare for the rich system over here would see to it that those uninsured poor people never received proper care in the first place. It would sound like, 'Ahh, yeah, they somehow fell through the cracks I guess'. Duuuuuhhhhhh, what? Welcome to the USA.
